"There is no human being on earth with the power to grant us what our heart of hearts longs for: the end of that empty feeling that as we are, we are simply not enough. And the struggle to resolve this unwanted feeling -- by selling our souls to win the approval of others -- is to run off a cliff while chasing the end of a rainbow!

You can never win enough approval from this world to free yourself from the insatiable need for being approved, but you can free yourself from this dark need by discovering that who you really are is already whole.
" -- Guy Finley

Jill Noelani is born today, my niece. She is the third daughter of my other brother. I guess, my firstborn will be born June 3rd. It's interesting to know the dates of birth. I was born on the 6th, my other brothers were born on the 7th and 8th respectively. This time it would be reverse. There's 4th and 5th. I'll provide the 3rd.

I went out for a dinner cruise off Lahaina with the management team in our organization. It was a feeling of relief for all of us. It's our escape from our cubicle lives.

A singer is born.

Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it. Advice is a form of nostalgia. Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth. - From the Sunscreen Song

In this room where in my solitude I spend a moment with silence. I shout aloud, nobody hears me. Perhaps I would throw a stone across the vast ocean and someone's window would break and finally hears my calling. Does she hear me calling a name, is it hers?

"Don't feel guilty if you don't know what you want to do with your life. The most interesting people I know didn't know at 22 what they wanted to do with their lives. Some of the most interesting 40-year-olds still don't." - From the Sunscreen Song

I spent the whole day with my tito. I asked him to give me assistance with the acquiring of solar heater for our house. The electricity bill is getting high and the only solution is by installing a solar heater. My tito is flying to Manila tomorrow and he's so happy to tell me that he is on a quest to find the other end of the string. I wished him good luck and wished him a safe trip.

The quest is a journey towards excellence. You may be wondering where I am going but let me tell you this, I am learning to learn. There are many hurdles before me and that's making it complicated but I always believe that no matter how hard it seems to get to my destination, there's someone along the way to give a helping hand. Could that be you?

Happy 105th Independence Day Pilipinas! I've learned an astounding truth about Philippines History today. It's about Dr. Jose Mercado Protacio Rizal. Dr. Rizal wouldn't be where he is in Philippine History if it's not from his older brother Paciano Mercado Rizal who have instilled in him his ideology of self-rule. We shouldn't forget this man for without him, there wouldn't be a national hero named Dr. Jose Rizal.

To the Filipinos, how long are you willing to be a nation divided? It's hard to bear this strife that is afflicting the country and its sociopolitical infrastructure. I guess, this is the role this country plays in this world's stage. God bless the Philippines!

In this trying times, there are moments when we are almost at the verge of giving up. Do not give up. While still alive, you are empowered to live your life accordingly. If you made a wrong turn in your early journeys, move forward because you've learned not to make that wrong turn. It is in this very moment that you have conquered your greatest fear--giving up.

If they don't listen to you, put this in your gray matter, "with or without somebody else, I can do it."

It seemed like the essence is fading away. It's presence is getting fainter. That made him sad the whole day and a friend encouraged him that everything has its own season under the sun. Upon hearing this wisdom, the gloomy moment faded away. He realized that he has the power to make changes to occur in his life as the Divine One has set forth in his life.

Giving up the blues and painting a different hue, like the turning of the brightest of day from the darkest of the night. A soul wanders away and have chosen to keep the blues.

Chorus:

Brother & sister together will make it through
Some day a spirit will take you and guide you there
I know you've been hurting, but I've been waiting to be there for you
And I'll be there just helping you out, whenever I ca-a-an

"We are suffering from a surfeit of politics. Politicians have become the bane of the nation. But we seem not to be learning any lessons at all. While the rest of the world is focused on economic and moral survival, our politicians are riveted on how to gain a few sound bites or column inches through their latest publicity stunts." - Former Sen. Francisco Tatad, Nation Under Fire

Each day is a day to remember.

The Rest of your Life
Na Leo

What are you doing
for the rest of your life?
We could watch the stars at night,
twinkling high above.
'Cause I promise you,
for the rest of your life
I will be there by your side,
I will be your love.
What are you doing
for the rest of your life?
If you believe in destiny
then how can you not see
that I'll be with you
for the rest of your life.
Someday you will realize
we were meant to be.
Time flies on guilded wings
and faith in my heart it sings,
but I just have to know one thing...
What are you doing
for the rest of your life?
Cold I be the only one
to know this part of you?
And you will find,
for the rest of your life
that I will love you
for the rest of mine.
Yes I will love you
for the rest of mine...

A 32 year old patient sought out the therapist, Richard Crowley.

"I cannot stop sucking my thumb," he complained. "Don't be too concerned about that," Crowley told him. "But suck on a different finger each day." The patient tried to do as instructed. But each time he brought his hand to his mouth, he had to make a conscious choice as to which finger should be the object of his attention that day. Before the week was over, the habit was cured. "When a vice becomes a habit, it is difficult to deal with," Richard Crowley says. "But when it requires of us that we develop new attitudes, make new decisions and choices, we become aware that it is not worth the effort." - Paulo Coelho, Maktub
