In Her Solitude
by J.Q. Gonzales

She crossed the river
Toiled the vastness of the sea of life
Storms facing her
In her moments of solitude
Where shall she seek shelter?
Oh give her a place where she can lay things to rest
And start after the storm abated
She wept upon her pillow
Until she ran out of tears
She rose up and looked upon her window
She saw the rising of the sun
And glimpsed the smile upon its face
Indeed. She realized…the sun rises everytime
She greeted me good morning, it's a brand new day!
